My hubby and I used to go to Las Vegas nearly yearly. For a handful of those trips, we stayed at the Mirage Hotel because it had a great location, an incredible pool and a to-die-for Mai Tai recipe. You heard that right. We went back for the exotic co*cktails.

Their recipe was unlike any drink I’d ever had. It was tropical, complex and just a mouthful of pools, sunshine and relaxation. Upon our return home, Dan set out to replicate the tiki drink and he nailed it.

Introducing the only mai tai you’ll ever need in your life. Unless you go to Vegas. If you do, promise me you’ll stop at the Mirage and savor a drink there.

Just want to say that there is no way this recipe would taste like the Mai Tai at the Mirage. They definitely did not put orange juice or triple sec in their drink. To make a Mai Tai with orange juice is a no, no. The Mirage used all premium ingredients.
