There's nothing like quite like cosying up to watch a good murder mystery on a miserable autumn day, and that's exactly our plan!

Netflix's new series The Perfect Couple promises to be a must-watch, starring huge names such as Nicole Kidman, Dakota Fanning and our very own Eve Hewson and Jack Reynor.

The murder mystery, which will be released this week on the streaming platform on September 5, is an adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand's namesake novel.

The first trailer for the mystery series sees novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, played by Nicole Kidman, and her husband Tag Winbury, played by Liev Schrieber, the parents of a family that have the outwards appearance of perfection.

Amelia Sacks, played by Bono's daughter Eve Hewson, is set to marry into their wealthy clan.

Greer is the mum of Amelia’s fiancée Benji Winbury, played by Billy Howle, and has spared no expense for their wedding, set to be the soirée of the season.

Before the couple can exchange vows, a body turns up on the beach. The person appears to have accidentally drowned, but when an investigation is launched into their death, the mystery begins to unravel.

The Perfect Couple's director Susanne Bier helmed critically-acclaimed Bird Box, so this six-episode series is going straight on our watchlist. Mark your calendars: September 5!
