Where do I pick someone up at the SLC airport? ›

The airport's free Park and Wait Lot allows drivers to wait for arriving passengers until they are ready to be picked up. The lot is located west of Terminal Drive, just southeast of the Terminal.

General Departure Delays: Traffic is experiencing gate hold and taxi delays lasting 15 minutes or less. General Arrival Delays: Arrival traffic is experiencing airborne delays of 15 minutes or less.

International arrivals are on the lower level of the main terminal, with customs and immigration, baggage claim, and a security checkpoint for international arrivals connecting to onward flights. Ground transportation is located outside the terminal, with rideshare pick-up areas, shuttle buses, and taxis.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recommends that you arrive at the airport two hours prior to the departure time for domestic and three hours prior to international flights. We encourage passengers to give themselves additional time during peak travel periods and inclement weather.

Park in the airport's short-term parking lot if you're meeting someone in the airport. Or, tell your traveler to call you when they're leaving the airport and drive to their terminal to pick them up outside. If you can't pick them up, schedule a taxi, Uber, or Lyft to get them.

Park and Wait Lot

The lot is located west of Terminal Drive, just south of the Terminal. The Park and Wait Lot offers an alternative to circling the terminal or parking in the hourly/daily parking lot and provides large electronic flight information signs displaying flight arrival information.

No. Federal regulations now prohibit non-ticketed persons beyond passenger security screening at all U.S. airports. Please meet your arriving party in the terminal baggage claim area or terminal curbside. Announcements are made to arriving passengers that they can meet their welcoming parties in these two areas.

Right now, you need to trek halfway through the west side of Concourse A, then hop on an escalator down to the “Mid Concourse Tunnel,” where you walk the length of nearly two Salt Lake City blocks before arriving at the entrance of Concourse B. Altogether, the stroll is a little over half a mile.
